In the theater, a prompter is a person who blows their lines to actors with a memory lapse. He or she is often hidden under the stage and communicates with the actor through a small trap door located not far from the actor. Today, the prompter still exists in a modernized form: it is an assistant stage manager who communicates with the actors through an earpiece. Prompters play an important role in live theater, helping to keep the actors on track and keeping the show running smoothly. Without a prompter, actors would frequently forget their lines, causing the show to grind to a halt. Prompters help to keep the show moving forward, and they are an essential part of any production.

The teleprompter and audio prompter are an asset on most shoots.

Long shots

The longer the video is or the segments have to be made continuously, the use of a teleprompter is a decision you will not regret. If you ever have the misfortune to attend a session or the speaker in front of the camera cannot correctly render his text after dozens of times, you will never deprive yourself of a teleprompter again.

There are situations in which it is necessary to obtain a quick and quality performance at all costs  and that you can never even think of starting again, the teleprompter is your insurance policy.

The prompt corner is an important part of any theatre production. It is typically equipped with a prompt desk, which is used to coordinate the performance. The prompt desk usually has a copy of the performance script, with blocking and other stage directions. In addition, the prompt desk may also have a communications intercom headset, cue lights, telephones, and a public address system. These elements are essential for the smooth running of a theatre production. The prompt corner is typically manned by the stage manager and deputy stage manager, who are responsible for calling the show and ensuring that everything runs smoothly.
